Remembering Tyquevius

A life held close in memory

Tyquevius Breshaud “Bre” Parks Sr., aged 27, was a cherished member of his family whose presence touched many lives. Born November 12, 1995, in Greenwood, South Carolina, Tyquevius was a loving son to Frank and Gretta Gant Parks and a proud father to his son, Tyquevius Parks Jr. Family was central to his life — he shared close relationships with his sisters Zykirah Parks and Daviona Mosely, and his brother Jaquavius Taylor. He is also remembered by his grandparents Jessie Grant and Frank Parks, his niece Zylirah Johnson, nephews Zyie Dowdy and Jaquavius Taylor Jr., and his goddaughter Kayden Copeland.

Those who knew Tyquevius recall a man who valued close friendships and simple comforts: he had a special friend, Jazmine Miller, and was devoted to his two dogs, Sassy and Trust. His family’s service program lists moments of prayer, music, and words of comfort that reflect the love surrounding him.

Tyquevius passed from this life on February 24, 2023, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital. He was laid to rest at Orchard Park Memorial Gardens in Clinton, South Carolina, where family and friends gathered to honor his memory. He leaves behind a wide circle of relatives and friends who remember his laughter, his ties to family, and the ordinary kindnesses that marked his days.

While public records and remembrances note the sorrow of his passing, those who loved Tyquevius celebrate the human ties he created — a father’s care, a son’s bond, a brother’s presence, and the simple companionship of his pets. He is remembered with gratitude by those who shared his life and by the community who mourned his loss.

Tyquevius was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
