In loving memory of
Tremiyah Lindsey
April 19, 2005 — November 12, 2021
Tremiyah Lindsey — a vibrant Glen Oaks High senior who brought light to family and friends — is lovingly remembered for her youth, promise, and the warmth she shared with those around her.
Remembering Tremiyah
A life held close in memory
Tremiyah Lindsey was a cherished 16-year-old daughter, sister, and student whose bright presence touched family, classmates, and neighbors in Baton Rouge. A senior at Glen Oaks High School, Tremiyah carried the promise of a life full of possibilities, and those who knew her recall a young person whose everyday warmth and spirit left an impression on her community.
Family was central to Tremiyah’s life. She was part of a close-knit household and is remembered most tenderly in the stories told by relatives and friends — how she laughed in familiar rooms, took part in family moments, and shared the ordinary kindnesses that quietly shape relationships. At school she was among peers preparing to finish her senior year, a milestone that marked both accomplishment and hope for the future.
Friends and classmates who attended services with the family described Tremiyah as a young woman with energy and potential. Though her life was cut tragically short, the plans, dreams, and ordinary joys she carried with her remain meaningful to those who loved her. The family invited the community to gather and celebrate Tremiyah’s life at a memorial service held in late November 2021, honoring her memory with reflections, music, and remembrance.
In remembering Tremiyah, those who loved her emphasize the person she was beyond headlines: a daughter whose presence mattered in small, everyday ways; a sister and friend who was part of the fabric of a family and a school community; and a young person whose brief life still held the quiet significance of shared moments. Her memory is preserved in the care of family, the support of her school community, and the kindnesses of neighbors and friends who continue to hold her in their thoughts.
Those wishing to express sympathy were guided to the Winnfield Funeral Home arrangements, where family and community members came together to honor Tremiyah’s life. Her passing is mourned by many, and her memory is carried forward by those who remember her small acts of warmth, her connections to family and classmates, and the promise of a life that was still unfolding.

Tremiyah was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
