A formal remembrance
Tiebryis Robert May (September 15, 1999 — July 24, 2022) is remembered for the generous heart and energetic spirit he shared with family and friends. A native of Decatur, Illinois, Tiebryis delighted in fashion, travel, and the simple joy of gathering loved ones. He had a love for basketball and enjoyed sharing time on the court with friends and family.
Tiebryis cherished his role as a father. He is survived by his children — Tiebryia May, Tielyia May, and Tiebryis May Jr. — who were a central source of pride and affection in his life. Family was always important to him; he is remembered by his parents, Candace (Adelrick Woods Sr.) Bradfield and Robert May, as well as grandparents, siblings, a broad circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
Those who knew Tiebryis speak of his infectious personality and welcoming smile. He had a gift for making people feel included and for lifting the mood in any room. Whether dressing with his distinctive sense of style, planning visits or trips, or simply spending time with those he loved, Tiebryis approached life with warmth and openness.
Beyond family and friends, Tiebryis worked at Kenco, where he contributed his energy and strong work ethic. He leaves behind many who recall his kindness, his laughter, and the ways he brought people together.
In remembering Tiebryis, his family invites those who loved him to celebrate the fullness of his life — the relationships he nurtured, the joy he shared, and the gentle, generous presence he offered to others. His memory endures in the children he loved, the stories his friends will tell, and the many small acts of care that defined him.
