Remembering Terrell

A life held close in memory

Terrell Smith, 25, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on October 30, 2014. Cherished by family and friends, Terrell was a devoted son and a loving father to his two children, Terrell Smith, Jr., and Ava Nicole Smith. He was known to those close to him for his quiet spirit and the small kindnesses he shared with family.

Terrell grew up surrounded by a close family network. He is remembered as the son of Roberta Lee of Tallahassee and Larry Smith, Jr. of Quincy, Florida. He leaves behind siblings who loved him dearly: brothers Randy (Gilian) Smith, Kendrick Smith, Larry Smith, and a sister, Jasmine Smith. His grandparents, Annie Bell Walker and Flora Williams, also survive him, as do other relatives and many friends who held him in their hearts.

Funeral services were held at Tabernacle Church of God In Christ Written In Heaven in Gretna, Florida, with burial at Sunnyvale Cemetery in Quincy. Williams Funeral Home of Quincy assisted the family in making arrangements and provided a place for loved ones to gather and share memories. In messages written following his passing, friends remembered Terrell as gentle and caring, and many expressed sorrow that his life ended far too soon.

Terrell’s family invited those who wished to honor his memory to attend services, leave condolences, or plant a tree in his name. While the details of his life recorded in public notices are concise, they reflect a young man surrounded by family who loved him and children who carried his name forward. May his memory be a blessing to those who loved him.
