Obituary

A formal remembrance

Terrance “Tee” Davis (March 20, 1987 – October 31, 2016) is remembered for the simple, enduring gifts he brought to those around him: steady affection, a ready hug, and time spent with the people he loved. Born in Washington, Missouri, Terrance grew up surrounded by family and remained close to them throughout his life.

A proud father to Terrance Jr., Aniyah and Emma, he took great care in his role as a parent. Those who knew him described him as a caring person who valued family gatherings and moments with friends. In quieter hours he enjoyed catfishing — a pastime that reflected his patience and love of the outdoors.

Terrance was the son of Michael Clark and Shana Davis and is survived by his parents, three brothers — Michael, Chris and Bryan — and by grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins and friends who remember his warm, affectionate nature. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emmett Clark.

Friends and family recall Terrance as someone who gave freely of himself, someone who made others feel known and cared for. Though his time was far too short, the warmth he offered endures in the memories of those who loved him. A funeral service and interment were held in November 2016 in Union, Missouri, where family and community gathered to honor his life and the relationships he nurtured.

Terrance’s life mattered to those who loved him — his children, his family, and the many friends who remember him as a hugger and a steady presence. May his memory be a blessing to them all.
