Obituary
A formal remembrance
Terrance Antonio "Pooh" Jeffery was born June 25, 1975, in Detroit, Michigan. Known to family and friends by the affectionate nickname “Pooh,” Terrance brought a steady, easy laugh and a loving presence to every room he entered. He found pleasure in simple, true joys: an early morning on the water with a fishing pole, a backyard cookout with the smells of the grill in the air, or an afternoon riding four-wheelers with people he cared about.
Those who knew Terrance remember his quick sense of humor and the fierce loyalty he showed to his loved ones. He often looked out for family and friends, offering protection, practical help and the kind of companionship that comforted people in both everyday moments and hard times. As the youngest in his family, he could be playful, but he also carried himself with the steady, protective instinct of someone who placed family first.
On September 9, 2024, Terrance passed away at East Alabama Medical Center. His loss was felt deeply across his community; friends and relatives gathered in the days that followed to celebrate his life and to hold one another in grief. Funeral arrangements were handled by M. W. Lee Mortuary, with services held in Lanett and interment at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Terrance’s memory lives on in the stories told by those who loved him: the jokes he shared, the meals he prepared for others, the quiet moments on the water and the afternoons of laughter and rides. Though his life ended too soon, the warmth he gave to family and the neighborhood remains — a reminder of the ordinary pleasures and dependable care that defined him. He will be remembered with love by family and friends who were fortunate to know him.
