Taron Jones

Taron Kamar Durel Jones, a Cambridge native whose life was centered on family and community, passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 36. Born September 9, 1987, Taron grew up in Cambridge and remained close to the people who mattered most to him. He is remembered by those who knew him as a loyal son and a loving husband.

Taron was the cherished son of Elbert Green (Dormaim) and Veronica Jones of Cambridge. He and his wife, Chantay Nicole Jones, shared a life in their hometown and were surrounded by family and friends who will carry his memory forward. Taron was preceded in death by several grandparents and great-grandparents, whose influence on the family is remembered with affection.

Family and friends honored Taron’s life with a public viewing and celebration of life held at Greater Refuge Temple Church of God in Cambridge, organized by Henry Funeral Home, P.A. Those services offered a place for loved ones to come together, share memories, and support one another.

Taron’s life mattered to his family and community. While his passing on December 18, 2023, is deeply mourned, those who loved him remember his place at family gatherings and the everyday ways he showed up for those closest to him. He will be held in the hearts of his wife, parents, and the extended family who survive him.
