Tallis Moorer

Tallis Moorer, born February 11, 1979, peacefully passed from this life on May 31, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio. A proud longtime resident of the city, Tallis was known by family and friends for his calm manner, the consistency of his presence, and the care he showed those close to him.

Throughout his life Tallis valued his relationships above all. He was a familiar face in his neighborhood and took comfort in the everyday connections of community life. Those who knew him remember a person who offered dependable friendship and who carried himself with a gentle steadiness.

Tallis’s family entrusted Strowder’s Funeral Home with arrangements, and loved ones gathered to celebrate his life with viewings and a funeral service in early June 2023. In place of a longer printed obituary, the family asked that memories and condolences be shared through the funeral home’s guestbook and that expressions of sympathy be directed to floral or memorial gifts.

While the manner of his passing brought sorrow to many, those who cherish Tallis prefer to recall the life he lived: the everyday kindnesses, the familiar routines, and the small, meaningful ways he showed up for others. He will be remembered as a real person who mattered to his family and community.
