Steven Lawrence Wilds (November 19, 1960 – February 10, 2021) was a warm, steady presence in the lives of family and friends. A longtime member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church, Steven found comfort in his faith and in the simple pleasures of life: the quiet of the woods, the patience of a day spent fishing, and the open road during his years as a truck driver. After retiring from trucking, he continued to cherish those moments with loved ones in the Midway and Greeneville communities.
Steven was known to family as a loyal son and brother whose support and company mattered in everyday life. He is survived by his mother, a stepdaughter, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews — a circle of relatives who recall his steady nature and the ways he showed up for family gatherings and ordinary days alike. The outpouring of condolences and memories from neighbors and church members reflect how much he meant to those around him.
A graveside service was held at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens on February 16, 2021, where family and friends gathered to honor his life.
