Stephon Carroll

Stephon Lamont Carroll, born July 31, 1998, of Southeast Washington, was a devoted son and father whose presence was a comfort to family and friends. Those who knew Stephon recall a young man who cherished time with loved ones and cared deeply for the people closest to him. He leaves behind family who loved him fiercely and who continue to honor his memory.

Stephon was a father to a young daughter and a son, roles which were central to his life and brought him great pride. He is remembered by his mother and extended family who gathered to celebrate his life and to support one another in their grief. In April 2023, family and community members came together at Stewart Funeral Home to pay respects and share memories of Stephon’s life.

Though his life was cut tragically short on March 24, 2023, Stephon’s memory lives on in the stories his family tells, the quiet moments he shared with friends, and the love he held for his children. Those who carry his memory forward remember a man whose relationships and responsibilities—especially as a father—defined him more than any other label.
