Skylar Renee Sky Young

Skylar Young (December 13, 1997 – November 19, 2023) is remembered for her love of words and the warmth she brought to family gatherings. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Skylar developed a talent for writing and pursued that passion as an author, finding ways to express herself through stories and reflection.

She was the daughter of James Lillo and Shelley (Isaac) Feltner and cherished her family ties. Skylar is survived by her mother Shelley (Richard) Feltner; her father James F. (April) Lillo; siblings Austin Weithman, Amber Lillo, Mercedes Lindsey and Emalee Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; grandparents Becky Schlotterer, Barb (James) Smith and James F. (Beverly) Lillo Sr.; three aunts — Charlene Dyer, Penny (Steven) Maynard and Angela (Frederick) Goon — and an uncle, Jon Lillo. These relationships were central to Skylar’s life and to the memories shared by those who loved her.

Skylar was preceded in death by her daughter Angel Isaac and her son Bandin Young, as well as by grandfather Dewey Isaac, step-grandfather Rick Schlotterer, and great-grandmother Rosetta Gibson. In lieu of public services at this time, her family has arranged for a private funeral and asked for space and compassion as they grieve. Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, is assisting the family.

Those who knew Skylar recall a young woman who saw the world through a creative lens and who cared deeply for family.
