Sharelle Pebbles Johnson

Sharelle Dawn Chassidy “Pebbles” Johnson (July 23, 1997 – March 23, 2023) is remembered first for the love she gave her children and the joy she brought to family and friends. Born in Queens, New York, Sharelle carried a gentle spirit and a playful sense of humor that those closest to her called “goofy” in the best way — a quality that made ordinary days lighter for everyone around her.

A proud mother of young twins, Chassidy and Cassidy, Sharelle centered her life on caring for them and creating a warm home. Her family says she loved reading and taking pictures, small daily pleasures that reflected her thoughtful, observant nature. Those who knew her speak of a compassionate person who would do anything for her children and who treasured time with siblings, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

Sharelle was preceded in death by her mother, Robin “Madea” Johnson, and brothers Ty-Quan Johnson and Darryl Carter. She is survived by her father, William Johnson; her twins, Chassidy and Cassidy; a large and loving extended family including siblings Nynita, Akia, Arlene, Jamell, Ra-Quan, Raheem, Rasheed, and her twin brother Levelle; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry forward her memory.

Her family held a visitation and memorial service so loved ones could gather, celebrate her life, and support her children. In the days after her passing the community rallied to help the family with funeral expenses and care for the twins. Sharelle’s family asks that she be remembered for the warmth she shared, the small delights she cherished, and the fierce love she had for her children. May her memory remain a blessing to those who loved her.
