Seth Chedville

Seth David Chedville (January 28, 2005 — January 15, 2024) was a young man whose enthusiasm for life touched family, friends, and a wide community of fellow riders. Raised in Belle Chasse, Seth was known for a ready smile and an adventurous spirit that found its truest expression on two wheels. He loved extreme sports and earned a reputation in the local "Bike Life" community as a talented dirt bike stunt rider who inspired others with his confidence and fearlessness.

From his earliest years Seth showed an entrepreneurial spark, taking on side work — from lawn care and car detailing to seasonal installations — that reflected both his drive and his willingness to help. He worked jobs during high school and later as a rigger with the Couvillion Group, where colleagues recall his strong work ethic and dependable nature. Those who knew him speak of a young man who carried himself with generosity and humor, someone whose presence could brighten a room.

Family was central to Seth’s life. He is survived by his parents, Shannon and Shane Chedville, and his brother Tyler, as well as grandparents and a large circle of extended family who remember him for his warm personality and the joy he brought to gatherings. Beyond family, Seth counted many lifelong friends and members of the Bike Life community among those he loved; those friendships were an important source of identity and pride.

Seth’s life was celebrated with services in Belle Chasse on January 22, 2024. Those who gathered to honor him recalled not only his daring rides and entrepreneurial energy, but the countless small moments — laughter among friends, shared adventures, and the kindness he extended to others. Though his time was far too short, the impact of his warmth, drive, and joyful presence endures in the memories of those who loved him.

In remembering Seth, family and friends cherish a young life lived fully and a spirit that will remain alive in their stories, photos, and the many lives he touched.
