Obituary

A formal remembrance

Sean Hennessee Moss, age 22, touched many lives with his creativity, humor, and generous spirit. A graduate of Franklin High School, Sean continued his studies at the University of Tennessee at Martin and Columbia State Community College. From an early age he was active in his church community at Vine Street Christian Church and found joy in youth group activities and church camps at Bethany Hills and Deer Run.

Sean’s friends and family remember him for a magnetic energy and a genuine smile that often turned strangers into friends. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts Troop #444, a reflection of his character and commitment to service. Artistically talented, Sean practiced the demanding craft of glass blowing through his business, Hennessee Glass, creating work that reflected his care and attention to detail.

Beloved by his family, Sean is remembered as smart, hilarious, and kind. He was preceded in death by grandparents Chase and Dot Muse Moss and Bill Hennessee, and an uncle, Michael Hennessee. He is survived by his parents, Joe and Martha Hennessee Moss; his brother, Chase Moss; his sister, Kimberly Moss (Juan Flores); his grandmother, Sue Higginbotham Hennessee; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who treasured him.

Family and friends celebrated Sean’s life with visitation at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, Tennessee. Those who knew him recall a young man with a large heart who brought people together through his belief in the goodness of others and his love of life. Though his time was far too short, the warmth of Sean’s presence, his artistic gifts, and the kindness he showed to others remain enduring parts of his legacy.
