Remembering Sauhni

A life held close in memory

Sauhni Ta-Cur Stallings (23) of Wichita passed away on June 21, 2025. He was cherished by his family, who remember him as a devoted son and treasured brother. Sauhni is survived by his mother, Cassandra (Stallings) Berry; his father, Micheal Stallings; sisters Shaylae Stallings and Tayiveonea Stallings; and other close family including Curran Smith, aunt Tayronnia, and grandparents Rosie L. Winbush and Earl Williams. He also leaves behind extended family, including uncles James Brown, Jesse Roach, and Adam Stallings, and many cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Family and friends gathered to honor Sauhni’s life with services provided by CLOSED—Heavenly Gates Mortuary in Wichita. A viewing was scheduled, and a balloon release at Riverside Park was held in his memory, giving those who loved him a quiet moment to reflect and celebrate the life he lived.

Sauhni’s survivors recall his place within a large, caring family and the connections he kept with those around him. While details of his day-to-day life shared publicly are limited, the names of those who stood beside him reflect a close-knit circle that valued him deeply. The presence of a partner, Camiya Greer, and a stepson, AJ Knight, among those named in remembrances speaks to the relationships that mattered to him.

Those wishing to honor Sauhni’s memory gathered to share condolences, memories, and support for his family during a time of mourning. Though his life was cut short, the gatherings, the release in his honor, and the company of family affirm that he was known and loved by many. May his memory be a comfort to those who loved him, and may the stories shared by family and friends keep his spirit near.
