Remembering Sabreal
A life held close in memory
Sabreal Metae Taylor, lovingly called “Twin,” was born July 18, 1987, in Augusta, Georgia. He was a cherished son of Cheryl Battle Taylor and Thomas “Peewee” Taylor and grew up surrounded by a large, loving family who held him dear throughout his life.
Sabreal’s life was defined by family and community. He is remembered by his parents, his twin brother Sebreal, siblings, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins and friends who treasured his presence. His family planned time to gather, celebrate, and say their goodbyes at Ingram Brothers Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at St. Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery — a reflection of the ties that mattered most to him.
Those who knew Sabreal recall a life connected to family traditions and relationships. He leaves behind the footprint of a man who mattered deeply to those nearest him: parents who loved him, a twin brother who shared childhood and adult memories, and a broad circle of relatives who will carry his memory forward.
While words cannot fill the space left by his passing, Sabreal’s memory lives on through the stories, family gatherings, and quiet remembrances of those who loved him. May those who treasured him find comfort in each other and in the small, everyday ways his life touched theirs.
