A formal remembrance
Roberto C. Marroquin-Castro (Feb. 2, 1979 — July 21, 2025) is remembered for the care and devotion he showed his family and for the steady, hardworking spirit that guided his life. Born in Choluteca, Honduras, Roberto carried the values of family and community throughout his years in Cincinnati. He took particular joy in time spent with his children — often sharing simple pleasures like watching soccer matches together — and his presence was marked by quiet generosity and respect for others.
Family was central to Roberto’s life. He is survived by his mother, Maria Doris Marroquin Castro; his children, Roberto Jr. and Doris Marroquin; and his siblings, Mariel Castro and Carlos Castro. Those who knew him remember a man who met life’s challenges with determination and who treasured moments of laughter and music at family gatherings.
Friends and relatives were invited to honor Roberto’s memory with visitation on August 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home in Cincinnati. The family’s choice of a community funeral home reflected Roberto’s connections to his neighbors and the care he gave to those around him.
Though his passing was unexpected, Roberto’s legacy lives on in the love he gave his children and the steady presence he offered family and friends. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his dedication to family, and the quiet ways he made life better for those close to him.
