Roberto Angel Lauer

Roberto “Berto” Angel Lauer, 18, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on January 17, 2022. Born October 29, 2003 at Boone Hospital, Roberto was known for a warm, positive personality and a smile that lifted those around him.

A senior at Battle High School and passionate about music, Roberto had many talents and a gentle, friendly nature that made him widely loved. Family was central to him — he is remembered by his parents, Roberto Segundo and Ashley Lauer, and his brothers Corbyn, Zane, Asiel, Ryder and Jacob, as well as cousins and many close friends who treasured his companionship and good humor.

Roberto’s kindness left a quiet but lasting impression on those who knew him. Whether sharing a laugh, offering encouragement, or enjoying music with friends, he gave freely of himself. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cathy Watson.

A memorial service was held on February 5, 2022, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with visitation beforehand. In keeping with the family’s wishes, memorial contributions were directed to St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Roberto’s family and friends remember him for his generous heart and the bright presence he brought to everyday moments. His memory lives on in the stories, music, and smiles he shared with those who loved him.
