Remembering Robert E.
A life held close in memory
Robert R. “Bobby” Yee (September 7, 1947 – July 10, 2009) was a dedicated family man and a longtime member of Miami’s law enforcement community. A retired captain of the Miami Police Department, Bobby was remembered by his family for his steady character and commitment to those he loved. He took pride in caring for his family and in serving his city. He is survived by his wife Marisel; his children Debbie (Robert), Adrianne (Chris), Cody, Bobby and Jenny; grandchildren Zelina, Robertico, Ziara, Ryan, Richie and Kari; and a great-granddaughter, Layla Sophia.
Bobby’s family remembered him as the rock of their household — a man whose lessons and presence continued to guide them. They honored his memory with the belief that his kindness and the values he passed on remain part of their daily lives. In private remembrances and public condolences, fellow officers and friends recalled his friendship and the impact of his years in service. Though his life ended far too soon, Bobby’s family asked that his memory be kept with dignity and love.
Memorials and messages of condolence were published following his passing, and family requested donations or remembrances in his name. He is laid to rest with the affection of those who knew him best, and his memory endures through his family and the lives he touched.
