Remembering Robert
A life held close in memory
Robert Earl Hoskins III (June 12, 1995 – September 19, 2014) was a devoted son and cherished brother whose presence brought comfort to those close to him. A lifelong Indianapolis resident, Robert was surrounded by family who loved him deeply and who remember him for his gentle spirit and the ordinary kindnesses he offered in daily life.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Hoskins Jr. and LaKesha Sargent, and by a large circle of siblings and extended family who held him dear. Family members and friends gathered to honor his memory at a visitation and homegoing celebration held by Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home at Christ Church Apostolic, where relatives recalled moments of laughter, shared meals, and the bonds that defined his life.
Robert’s burial took place at Sutherland Park Cemetery. Those who loved him remember a young man whose life mattered to many — a member of a family and community whose grief is matched by gratitude for the time they had with him. His memory lives on in the stories shared by those who knew him and in the quiet ways his presence left an imprint on family life.
