In loving memory of
Ricky Ellerbe
July 11, 2012
Ricky Ellerbe was a beloved son and brother whose family and community remembered him for his presence, connections to home, and the love of those closest to him.
Remembering Ricky
A life held close in memory
Ricky Ellerbe, age 33, was cherished by his family and the many friends who knew him in the Richmond/Henrico community. He was the dear son of Nannie and Gerry Ellerbe and loving sibling to his sister Latoya and brothers Larry and Jermaine Hamiel. Ricky’s remains were placed with Chiles Funeral Home, where family and friends gathered to honor his life and offer support to one another.
Ricky’s funeral service provided an opportunity for those who knew him to celebrate his life and the relationships that mattered most: family, friends, and the neighborhood ties that shaped his days. Those who came to pay respects remembered him in the presence of relatives who continue to carry his memory.
He is survived by his parents, Nannie and Gerry Ellerbe; his sister, Latoya Ellerbe; two brothers, Larry and Jermaine Hamiel; and other relatives and friends who mourn his loss. The family arranged viewing and funeral services through Chiles Funeral Home, with interment held privately.
Ricky’s passing left a deep void for those who loved him. In the weeks and months that followed, family and friends gathered to share memories, stories, and prayers — small acts that kept his spirit present among those who loved him most. His life, though cut short, mattered to the people who will continue to remember him with love and respect.

Ricky was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
