Rickey Jones Jr.

Rickey Jones Jr., known to family as “Tickles,” was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 25, 1979. He earned a certification in Hardline Concrete & Masonry and made his living creating strong, lasting work with his hands. Rickey took pride in his craft and in the dependable, steady way he cared for those around him.

Outside of work, Rickey found simple, joyful comforts in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and the quiet satisfaction of a day spent outside, and he loved cooking and grilling for family and friends. Those small, everyday moments — a shared meal, a day by the water — were among the ways he showed care and built memories with people he loved.

Rickey’s greatest pride came from his family. He treasured his daughter and his granddaughter, supporting them and taking delight in their lives. Loved ones remember his warm personality and the nickname his grandmother gave him — “Tickles” — a tender sign of the laughter and closeness that marked his family relationships.

Rickey passed away on September 17, 2022. He is remembered for his steady work ethic, his gentle smile, and the quiet ways he made ordinary days brighter for those around him.
