Remembering Richard
A life held close in memory
Richard Ronnie Newman Jr., born April 11, 1978, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, peacefully departed this life on September 14, 2025. He was a beloved husband to his wife, June, and a devoted father to his four sons. Family was at the center of Richard’s life; he took great pride in being a father and welcomed the joy of grandparenthood when his grandson arrived.
Those who knew Richard remember him as a dependable, hardworking man who put his family first. He recently stepped into a management role at his workplace and was reportedly excited about the responsibilities and the opportunity to support others in his team. His steady presence, practical support, and gentle sense of humor were a comfort to many — a quiet strength that family and friends leaned on during both ordinary and difficult times.
Richard is survived by his wife, June; his sons Michael, Jeremy, Damien, and Zander; his grandson Jackson; his mother Anna Newman; siblings Fredrick, Valerie, and Brandon; and close friends and extended family who carried his spirit in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Newman Sr.
Though the community mourns his passing, those who loved Richard remember a life defined by care, loyalty, and the everyday acts that make a family home. His legacy lives on in the values he shared with his children and the warm memories held by those who were fortunate to know him. Services were arranged by Garcia Mortuary in Albuquerque, where family and friends gathered to celebrate his life and offer comfort to one another.
