Obituary
A formal remembrance
Rhion Samuel Stanford, known to many as “K,” was a spirited and resilient young man whose life, though brief, left a luminous mark on those who knew him. Born June 12, 2006, Rhion arrived into life fighting — born with holes in his heart and treated with open‑heart surgery at just three months old — and that strength became part of who he was: determined, lively, and full of hope.
A 2025 high school graduate, Rhion loved music, singing, dancing, and creating. He pursued his passion for rap and performance with the energy and imagination of someone always dreaming a little bigger. Friends and family remember him for his sense of humor and the way he could make people laugh. He lived on his own terms and carried with him a warmth and presence that made ordinary moments feel memorable.
Rhion cherished his family and the people close to him. He is survived by his mother, Kisha (Ptrez) Lenzy; his father, Ivey Stanford; his sisters, and other relatives and friends who celebrated his life. Those who were touched by Rhion recall a young man who loved deeply, moved with creativity, and refused to be defined by limits.
Though Rhion’s life ended far too soon on July 18, 2026, his resilience, talents, and the joy he shared remain with those who loved him. Family and friends honored his memory with visitation and a celebration of life at Peoples Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio. In the words his family shared, “He came into this world fighting. He left this world fighting.” Those who remember Rhion carry forward his laughter, his music, and the spark of a young life lived with heart.
