Remembering Rhiannon

A life held close in memory

Rhiannon Leah Trump Passmore lived a life centered on caring for others and the simple joys of the outdoors. Known to those who loved her as Rhiannon, she worked as a nurse aide helping local families, a role that reflected a patient, service-oriented nature. She enjoyed being outside—especially kayaking—and had a fondness for animals. Raised largely in the Clearfield/Osceola Mills and Philipsburg area of Pennsylvania, Rhiannon also spent time in Sharpsburg, Maryland, where she lived on Harpers Ferry Road.

Family was important to Rhiannon. Public notices name her parents and siblings among her survivors, and accounts of her life emphasize the time she loved to spend with friends and relatives. Those small, everyday connections—quiet afternoons outdoors, moments with pets, and the work she did supporting others—paint a picture of a young woman whose presence mattered in the lives she touched.

Public records and news accounts focus primarily on the tragedy of her passing in October 2018; those facts are part of the public record, but they are not the whole of who Rhiannon was. Even where public details are limited, it is clear she was a real person whose work, interests, and relationships made a difference to people around her. This remembrance honors her life—her care for others, her enjoyment of nature and animals, and the love she shared with family and friends—while acknowledging that what the public record shows is only a portion of a life lived and a loss felt.
