Remembering Reginald

A life held close in memory

Reginald O’Neal Hodge (January 2, 1991 – February 24, 2022) lived as a devoted father and cherished son whose family remembers him for his calm, steady presence. He is survived by his parents, Renee Hodge and Patrick Whiting; his children Delia, MaKayla, Malaysia, Maloney and Reggie Jr.; stepfather Gunter Krebs; siblings Gabrielle Krebs, Brittany Whiting and Patrick Whiting; and grandparents Sherry Whiting, Charles and Lillie Hodge, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Reginald speak of a man who put his family first. Whether at home with his children or among relatives, he brought an unassuming strength and dependable care that grounded the people around him. Family gatherings and everyday moments were places where his kindness showed most clearly, and his children were central to his life.

Funeral services were entrusted to King-Tears Mortuary, with visitation and services held in March 2022. The family invited those who loved him to celebrate his life, share memories, and offer support to one another during a painful time. Messages of sympathy and remembrances from friends and family appeared on the memorial page and at services.

Reginald’s life was more than the date that marks his passing. He is remembered by those who loved him for the ways he nurtured and protected his family, for his quiet strength, and for the everyday acts of care that made him a steady presence in their lives. May his children and family find comfort in their memories of him and in the love he showed them.
