Remembering Ralph
A life held close in memory
Ralph Edward Williams Jr., born November 15, 1953, was a warm, hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family and enjoying simple pleasures with those he loved. A lifelong tradesman, Ralph built a long career as an electrician, remembered by colleagues for his dependability and the quality of his work. He spent decades serving customers across the Main Line and beyond, always answering the call and rarely missing a day when his skills were needed.
Ralph’s family and friends recall a joyful, good-humored man who delighted in outdoor life and being together. He loved fishing, whether at a nearby creek or out on the water, and was famous to those close to him for his grilling and cooking — always ready to feed and entertain family at shore trips, ski outings, and water tubing adventures. His lively spirit and readiness to start the fun on group outings made him a presence many looked forward to seeing.
A devoted father, Ralph is survived by his three children — Ralph Edward Williams-Pass, Patricia Jade Williams-Pass, and David Leon Williams-Pass — and by his beloved granddaughters, who brought him much joy. He was preceded in death by his mother and by a brother; he is also remembered by brothers Arthur “Reggie” Williams Sr., Byron “Bitie” Williams, and Tyrone “Lanranzo” Tunnell, and by a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who cherished his company.
Those who knew Ralph recall more than his work and hobbies: they remember his generous spirit, his quick wit, and the way he cared for his family. Though his passing on January 23, 2019, was sudden, the kindness and small acts of everyday love he offered remain with those who loved him. He will be remembered as a dependable provider, a joyful presence on family trips, and a grandfather who delighted in his grandchildren. May his memory be a comfort to his family and friends.
