Remembering Raemon
A life held close in memory
Raemon M. Gray, age 19, of Pittsburgh’s North Side, was a devoted son and a loving father whose family remembers him for the place he held in their lives. He was the beloved father of Raeonna L. Gray and cherished son of Elbert R. Gray, Jr., Esq. and Annette Robinson. Raemon was also a brother to Don Miller, Jr., Kiara A. Miller, N'Gai C. Avery, Jr., Asaan J. Hargraves and Aniya R. Avery, and a grandson to his elders who shaped his early years.
Though taken from his family far too soon on November 21, 2008, Raemon’s memory lives on through the people who loved him most. Those who knew him recall a young man whose life mattered deeply to his family — a father whose daughter carried his name forward and a son and brother surrounded by relatives who mourned his loss.
Family and friends honored Raemon with services and remembrances in the weeks after his passing. In the years since, his family’s love and the memory of his presence remain central to how they carry him forward. This page is written to recognize Raemon as a person first: a son, a father, a brother, and a grandson whose short life left a lasting impression on those who loved him.
