Remembering Rachel

A life held close in memory

Rachel Marie Reeder, 27, passed from this life on October 22, 2020. A devoted mother whose laughter and warmth lifted those around her, Rachel carried a deep faith and a love for family that shaped every part of her life. She is remembered by those who knew her for an infectious smile, quick sense of humor, and a steady devotion to the people she loved.

Rachel enjoyed the outdoors — camping, fishing, and hunting were among the things that brought her calm and joy. She expressed herself through photography and singing, and took pride in creative pursuits such as cosmetology and writing. Friends and family also recall her willingness to learn mechanical skills, a reflection of her practical spirit and independence.

Family was central to Rachel’s life. She is survived by her parents, Craig and Robyn Reeder, and her mother Liz Maley; her children Landon Connor, Stuart Lee II, and Henslee Ann Marie; sisters and brothers who loved her deeply; and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who remember her as a treasured presence in family gatherings and everyday moments.

Rachel was sustained by her Christian faith, which she shared openly and which offered comfort and direction to those close to her. A memorial service was held at Alpine Funeral Home in Fort Worth on November 7, 2020, where family and friends gathered to honor her life and the love she gave so freely.

Though her life was cut far too short, Rachel’s memory endures in the stories, photographs, and quiet remembrances of those who loved her. She is remembered for the light she brought into rooms, the tenderness she showed her children, and the simple pleasures — music, the outdoors, and time with family — that defined her best days.

Rachel was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
