Remembering Patricia

A life held close in memory

Patricia “Patti” A. (Procaccini) Torbicki of Newington is remembered for her warmth, faith and devotion to family. Born in Hartford on October 28, 1970, Patti pursued her education at Manchester Community College and furthered her studies toward a BS in Healthcare Administration at Charter Oak State College. She built a career as a Claims and Membership Specialist with the New England Health Care Employees Welfare Fund, where coworkers remember her kindness and professionalism.

Patti’s life centered on family. She was the beloved daughter of Michael E. and Patricia A. (Gordon) Procaccini, and the proud mother of her son Donovan, described by her family as her most precious gift. She is also survived by her sister Maxine Procaccini of Newington, her twin sister Michelle Douglass (Scott) and their children Maxwell, Logan and Sierra Douglass of Maine. Those close to Patti recall a woman whose faith was important to her: she served as a Sunday School teacher and lent her voice as a vocalist in the worship group at Mill Pond Church.

Gentle, caring, and quick with a smile, Patti believed in the goodness of people and carried a steady faith that comforted those around her. In the days after her passing, family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at services held by D’Esopo Funeral Chapel and Mill Pond Church. In lieu of flowers, the family invited donations in Patti’s memory for the education of her son Donovan.

Patti is remembered not for the manner of her passing but for a life of love, service and faith—qualities that continue to live on in her son, her family, and the many friends whose lives she touched.
