Nicholas Hagood

Nicholas Andrew Hagood, born December 14, 1979, is remembered for a generous spirit and deep devotion to family. A Marietta resident, Nick was known by those close to him for an infectious smile and the steady love he showed his wife, Megan, and their daughters, Kathryn Grace and Emma Lew. He was the son of Diane and Lew Hagood and a brother to Ben Hagood.

Family and friends recall Nick’s warmth and commitment to those he loved. In life he placed family at the center of his world, and his memory lives on through the children and relatives who carry his stories and laughter forward. Those who knew him have spoken of his big heart and the ways he brightened ordinary days for the people around him.

A Funeral Mass honoring Nick’s life was held April 1, 2014, at The Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta. In keeping with the family’s wishes, donations in his memory were directed to a family fund to support his daughters.

Though his life was cut far too short, Nicholas’s lasting legacy is the love he gave and the close family ties that remain. He is remembered with affection by his wife, daughters, parents, brother and extended family, and by the community who mourned his loss. May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.
