Remembering Nathan
A life held close in memory
Nathan S. “Nate” Moore, 28, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2014. Nate was a loving son to Judy Gonzales and Joseph Moore and a proud father to his two children, Ahzarriah Moore and Jeremiah Beal. He is remembered by his sisters Yvonne Hernandez, Jan-e Moore and Cattore Moore; brothers Joey and Michael Moore; his girlfriend Maria Montalvo; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who survived him.
Family was central to Nate’s life. He is survived by close relatives including niece Jasmine Collins and niece Victoria Scott, and nephews Mario Davis, Martray Collins and Kahari Archie. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Lucia Longoria and aunt JoAnn Gonzales, as well as grandmother Thelma Moore, grandmother Korrine Clay and aunt Castella Clay.
Nate’s family welcomed visitors at Arsulowicz Brothers Stocking Mortuary in Grand Rapids, where they gathered to share memories and support one another. A private funeral service was held to honor him with the intimacy his family sought.
Those who knew Nathan recall a young man surrounded by family and friends whose absence is deeply felt. While his passing was sudden, the gatherings, photographs and stories he leaves behind continue to speak to the relationships and small, everyday moments that defined him. For those wishing to honor his memory, the family suggested remembrances through the funeral home’s arrangements.
