Obituary
A formal remembrance
Michael Wayne Walters, 44, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on July 8, 2026. Michael brought a warm, playful spirit to family gatherings and friendships; those who knew him remember him as goofy, fun-loving, and steadfast in his devotion to family and faith. He worked hard to care for his loved ones and approached life with a down-to-earth sincerity that made others feel seen.
Michael is survived by his brothers Ricky Walters and Jeremy Hardy, Justin Hardy and his wife Amanda, and his sister Angel Roman and her husband Robby Roman. He was also cherished by a circle of nieces and nephews — including Brandon Trimnal, Summer Rozell, Savannah Rozell, Grace Jones, Gracelyn Hardy, Isaiah Hardy, and Nicole Doud — and by extended family members such as Joyce Brooks, Jerry Hardy, Faye Stafford, Kay Grosclose, and cousin Neville Brook. He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Hardy, and cousin Dalon Brooks.
Friends and family who gathered to honor Michael remember a man who loved his family deeply and lived his faith openly. His humor and loyalty left a lasting impression on those around him, from everyday moments at home to time spent with relatives. The affection he held for those close to him and the quiet kindness he showed in ordinary interactions are the memories family members will carry forward.
Visitation was held at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a funeral service that brought together friends and family to celebrate Michael’s life and the love he shared. In remembering Michael Wayne Walters, his family asks that people hold tight to the good memories—his laugh, his caring presence, and the small, steady ways he made life brighter for those who loved him.
