Michael Thomas Jimenez Jr

Michael Thomas “Smack” Jimenez Jr., age 39, of Lansing, passed away November 8, 2014. Beloved husband of Nichelle, Michael was a devoted father to his children — Michael Jr., Daijai, Mikeiah, Danika, Aaliyah, and Amirrah — who remembered him for his smile and presence in their lives.

Michael was the son of Marcos and was preceded in death by his grandparents Seberiano Jimenez and Elizabeth Wood. He carried a warmth that drew friends and family close; notes shared on his memorial page recall a man who could lift spirits with a grin and who remained important to loved ones across the years.

Family and friends came together to honor Michael’s life in November 2014 in Lansing. Those who gathered celebrated the ordinary, meaningful moments he gave to his children and his community — the everyday kindnesses, the familiarity of family routines, and the love he showed those nearest to him.

While his life was cut short, Michael’s memory endures in the lives he touched. He is remembered with deep affection by his wife, his children, his father, extended family and friends.
