Michael Streich

Michael Richard Streich, born May 6, 1977, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was a devoted husband, father and family man whose life was centered on those he loved. He is remembered by his wife Jacqueline and his daughter Savannah, and he held a special place in the lives of his stepsons, Nick and Brendan Flick. Family was at the heart of Michael’s life—he is also survived by his father, Ron Streich; his mother, Lonnette Kelley (Allan Meendering); his sister, Michele Jesse; and a grandson, Dallas Beckwith, along with many other relatives and friends who mourn his loss.

Those who knew Michael recall a man rooted in home and family. Born in Sioux Falls, he later made his life in Omaha, where he was known to loved ones as a loyal presence and a caring family member. The family chose to honor his memory with services close to both his community in Nebraska and his roots in South Dakota.

Visitation was held to allow friends and family to gather, share memories, and offer comfort. A funeral service followed at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, and Michael was laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The family asked that memorials be directed as they specified, offering a way for those who wish to commemorate his life to do so.

While those who loved Michael continue to grieve the years taken too soon, they also remember the ordinary, everyday ways he mattered—through family celebrations, quiet support, and the small acts that make a life shared with others meaningful. His family’s care in arranging services and their wish to keep his memory close speak to the steady place he held in their lives.
