Remembering Michael
A life held close in memory
Michael C. Kuznik (March 5, 1970 – April 14, 2017) was a devoted father and a familiar face in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood, where he and his partner ran the local used-car business Mr. Cars II. Beloved son of Randolph “Randy” and Janet Kuznik and brother to Barbara (Dan) Bonnes, Michael took pride in his work and in providing for his family. He was a caring father to Corrine Kuznik and Kane Kuznik and is remembered for the steady, practical kindness he showed those closest to him.
Michael’s life was defined by family and community. Those who knew him recall a man who ran his business with attention and who cared about the neighborhood where he lived and worked. He and his business partner, Trina K. Tomola, shared a commitment to their customers and to keeping their small business a dependable part of the local streetscape.
Private family services were held following Michael’s passing. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the National Center for Victims of Crime, reflecting their wish that something positive might come from tragedy and that others receive support in difficult times.
Michael’s family and friends remember him for his quiet strength, his loyalty to family, and the everyday acts that made him a steady presence in the lives of those he loved. He is survived by his children and by his parents, who carry forward his memory with love. Though his time was cut short, his role as a father and community member endures in the many small ways he touched the lives around him.
