Meldrick Lamel Grice is remembered most of all for the quiet, steady presence he brought to the people who loved him. A devoted father to his son, Meldrick Jr., and a cherished son to Melvin Grice Jr. and Janet Grice, Meldrick’s family and close relationships were at the heart of who he was.
Friends and relatives recall a man for whom family came first and whose place in gatherings was steady and familiar. He is survived by his son, his parents, and four siblings, all of whom carried him in their memories. The outpouring of sympathy shown at his services reflected how deeply he was connected to his community and family circle.
A funeral service to honor Meldrick’s life was held at Calvary Church in Irving, Texas, where friends and family gathered to celebrate his life and support one another. Those who knew him remember him for the small, human things that endure — his role as a father, his devotion to family, and the bonds he shared with siblings and parents.
