Matthew Chamberlain

Matthew David Chamberlain, 19, of Phoenix, passed away on December 3, 2019. Known to family and friends as Matt, he brought bright energy and an adventurous spirit to everything he did. He had a quick wit, a bold approach to life, and a generosity that made those around him feel seen and laughed with.

Matt cared deeply for animals and formed special bonds with his dogs, Buddy and Dakota. He was also an avid horseman — a gifted colt trainer who developed a close relationship with his Arabian horse, Little Fellow, whom he broke, trained and loved. Those who watched him with animals saw his patience and natural affinity; his connection to them was a true part of who he was.

Ambitious and determined, Matt was pursuing college classes in business and advertising with a goal of building his own path as an entrepreneur. He dreamed big, approached challenges with courage, and lived with an “all-in” attitude. Friends remember him as a leader who pursued his passions wholeheartedly and encouraged others with his energy.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, Dave, and the family takes comfort in his memory and the love he shared. In honoring Matt’s life, family and friends celebrate the laughter he sparked, the care he gave to animals, and the bright curiosity he carried for the future.
