Remembering Mary

A life held close in memory

Mary Stefani Guirand (1986–2022), fondly known as “Stefani,” was a loving mother and a radiant presence in the lives of family and friends. A Stamford native who cared deeply for those around her, Mary combined a strong sense of style with a hardworking, straightforward nature. She worked as a manager in the communications industry while also embracing her talents as a licensed aesthetician and makeup artist, bringing confidence and joy to others through her craft.

Family remembered Mary as loving and family-oriented — someone who “loved hard,” who could light up a room and who was often called the life of the party. Her sister recalled her warmth and humor, and relatives and friends gathered to honor her memory and support one another after her passing.

Mary cherished her role as a mother to her teenage daughter, who is being cared for by family in Stamford. She is also survived by her immediate family who mourn her loss and celebrate the bright moments she shared with them.

A visitation in Mary’s memory was arranged by Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home in Stamford, where relatives and friends paid their respects and shared memories of her generous spirit. Those who knew Mary recall her compassion, her flair for beauty and style, and the way she showed up for those she loved.

Mary’s life — both the everyday and the joyful — mattered to many. She will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to family, and the bright, spirited energy she brought into the lives of others.
