Remembering Marquis

A life held close in memory

Marquis Lamont D'Jon Champion (November 14, 2008 – October 20, 2025) was a beloved Milwaukee youth whose presence lit up the lives of those around him. A son of Milwaukee, Marquis was known to his family and friends for a joyful spirit and the kind of quick smile that could ease a hard day. He was a student at Milwaukee Public Schools and attended Bay View High School, where he balanced school life while nurturing the hopes and plans of a young person looking ahead.

Marquis loved being part of his community and, in life, inspired those who knew him with his energy and potential. Family members remember him for his laughter, the small acts of care he showed at home, and the bright curiosity he brought to everyday moments. He was valued by relatives, classmates, and neighbors who saw in him a young person with dreams yet to be fulfilled.

Friends and loved ones held memorial gatherings to celebrate Marquis’s life and the meaningful connections he made. His funeral services were entrusted to Paradise Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services in Milwaukee, where family and community members came together to honor his memory and the promise he represented.

Marquis’s passing is mourned by a wide circle of family and friends who will carry forward the warmth he shared. Though his life was far too brief, those who loved him remember Marquis for the light he brought into their lives and the hope he held for the future. May his memory be a comfort to his family and a gentle reminder of the value of every young life.
