Obituary
A formal remembrance
Mark Pappacoda of New Haven passed away on November 8, 2022, at the age of 61. Born December 2, 1960, to Louis and Grace Pappacoda, Mark was known to family and friends as a warm, funny presence who brightened gatherings with his humor. He cherished time spent fishing and simple pleasures like playing the lottery, and his love for family remained at the center of his life.
A loving father and grandfather, Mark is remembered by his children and stepchildren and by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who brought him joy. Those closest to him recall a man who enjoyed making others laugh and who treasured family time above all. His sister Patricia and brothers Louis Jr. and Anthony survive him, along with an extended circle of relatives and friends who will keep his memory alive.
Family requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Animal Haven in North Haven — a reflection of Mark’s caring spirit. Funeral arrangements were handled by Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, and a memorial website created by his daughter offers a place for remembrances and condolences.
Mark’s life was full of the small, steady things — laughter, family gatherings, and afternoons by the water — that made him beloved by those who knew him best. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his devotion to family, and the quiet ways he showed he cared. Those who loved him hold his memory close and honor the warmth he shared with others.
