Mark Anthony Harris

Mark Anthony Harris, Jr. (December 23, 1992 – April 10, 2022) was a loving son, brother and father whose quiet kindness and strong faith touched many. Born in Detroit and raised in the Shoals area, Mark devoted himself to family and community. He professed his faith at Prayer Chapel Church of God in Christ and graduated from Sheffield High School with the Class of 2011. Those who knew him remember a respectful, caring young man who carried himself with humility and a ready smile.

Mark took great pride in his role as a father to his sons, Elijah and Mazi Armoni, who survive him along with his mother, Serena Plummer, siblings, and a wide circle of relatives and friends across Alabama and Michigan. He was described by family as kind, fun-loving, and respected by people of all ages.

Friends and loved ones gathered to honor Mark’s life with visitations in Muscle Shoals and Sheffield and a funeral service held in Detroit. The family entrusted Trinity Memorial Funeral Home (Muscle Shoals) with arrangements. In remembering Mark, those close to him recall not only the gap his passing leaves, but the steady, everyday ways he showed care for others.

Mark’s life is a reminder of the love that endures in family memory. He is survived by his sons, his mother, siblings, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will carry forward his memory with quiet affection.
