Malik Ameen Sanders

Malik Ameen Sanders of Braddock passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age given in public notices. He is remembered foremost by his family: his daughter Malajha Sanders; his parents, Linda Black and Donald Sanders Sr.; stepfather James Black; and his siblings Jalil Black, Adera D’Lynn Sanders, and Don Jr. Sanders, along with many other relatives and friends who loved him.

Friends and family gathered to honor Malik’s life at Resurrection Baptist Church in Braddock, where services and visitation provided space for shared memories and quiet comfort. He was laid to rest at Braddock Cemetery following the service. Arrangements were entrusted to Watts Memorial Chapel.

Those who loved Malik remembered him through the presence of family at services and the small, everyday ways people keep a life close: stories told at a visitation, the music and prayers at a church service, and the simple act of gathering to support one another. His family invited those who wish to pay respects to join in those moments of remembrance.

Malik’s passing left a deep impression on his family and community. In honoring his memory, those who knew him continue to hold fast to the relationships and quiet connections that made his life meaningful.
