Luis Eddie Cosme

Luis Eddie Cosme, born November 12, 1970 in the Bronx, New York, was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother and friend whose family meant everything to him. He passed from this life on October 30, 2019 in Killeen, Texas, leaving behind a large and loving family who treasured his kindness and steady presence.

Luis is remembered by his parents, Samuel and Minerva Cosme; his children Luis Cosme Jr., Kevin Cosme, Emilio Cosme, Ashley Pelinghelli and Caterina Cosme; his brothers Samuel Cosme Jr. and David Cosme; his sisters Betsy Gonzalez, Luz Perez and Denice Mendez; and his seven grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends who shared life with him. Those who knew him recall a family man who placed his loved ones at the center of his life and who built quiet, everyday memories that sustained them.

Services to honor Luis’s life were arranged through Compean Funeral Home. Family and friends gathered for visitation and a memorial service, followed by interment at Houston National Cemetery with military honors, reflecting the respect and care given by those who planned his farewell.

Though his life was cut short, Luis’s legacy survives in the family moments, stories, and the grandchildren who carry his memory forward. He will be remembered for the love he gave and the connections he nurtured; his family asks that memories of laughter, care and togetherness be the way he is honored.
