Lawrence Mitchell Perry, 54, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on September 3, 2025. Born April 12, 1971, in Cottonton, Alabama, Lawrence was a son, brother, father and uncle whose family remained central throughout his life.
Lawrence is remembered by his mother, Annie Perry; his children Teletha Perry (Reginald) of Columbus, Juanyae Baldwin of Columbus and Kaden Hardison of Columbus; and by stepchildren Amy Baldwin and Jeffrey Baldwin of Columbus, Georgia. He is also survived by siblings and extended family members who mourn his loss and celebrate his life.
Friends and relatives were invited to gather to honor Lawrence’s memory at services arranged by Taylor Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation and a funeral service were scheduled in mid-September at the C. T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Phenix City. Those who knew Lawrence were encouraged to share condolences and memories with his family through the funeral home’s guestbook.
Lawrence’s family asked that remembrances focus on his role as a loved family member and on the relationships he nurtured with those closest to him. The family’s published notice listed his close connections and invited the community to support them during their time of grief.
Lawrence’s life touched many in his community and region. He will be remembered by relatives and friends for the place he held in their lives and for the family bonds that were so important to him. May his memory be a blessing to those who loved him.
