Remembering Latosha
A life held close in memory
Latosha Fields was born December 9, 1980. Known to family and friends for her quiet strength and caring nature, Latosha devoted herself to her children and to the people closest to her. She was a daughter to Shirley Manns and is remembered by siblings and extended family who recall her as a steady presence in family gatherings and everyday life.
Latosha was a proud mother and leaves behind children who brought great joy to her life: Willie Cooper Jr., Marcus Johnson, and Sedrick Moses Jr., as well as two grandchildren who brightened her days. Family relationships were central to Latosha’s life — she is also survived by sisters Melinda Price, Marie Johnson, and Jacqueline Blackwell, and a brother, Roy Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, James Fields.
Her funeral service was entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home in Dyersburg, with visitation and a service held for family and friends, followed by burial at Williams Chapel Cemetery in Friendship, Tennessee. Those who knew Latosha remember simple, meaningful moments: time spent with family, the comfort of shared meals, and the everyday kindnesses she offered to those around her.
Though her life was cut short on September 14, 2019, Latosha’s memory endures in the lives of her children, her family, and the community that mourned her passing. Her legacy is carried forward in the love she showed her family and in the memories shared by those who knew her best. May her family find comfort in the lasting imprint she made on their hearts.
