Remembering Lane
A life held close in memory
Lane M. Allen, 34, of Radnor, Ohio, died January 25, 2026. Born June 22, 1991, in Marysville, Lane was known to family and friends for his steady care for those he loved and his enthusiasm for the outdoors. A proud graduate of North Union High School, he spent his working life helping on local farms and in restaurants, bringing a strong work ethic and generosity to every job. Lane found freedom and joy in trail riding with his horse Buck and treasured outings at Tar Hollow where he could be outdoors with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and took pleasure in simple, active days spent in nature.
Above all, Lane’s deepest roles were those of son, partner, and father. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tammy and Bob DeGood of Radnor; his father, Eric Allen of New Mexico; his fiancée, Jessica Walcoff; and his children, Kaleb Virgin, Chansleigh Morse, and Lathan Allen. Those who knew him remember a man who worked hard, loved fiercely, and cherished moments with the people closest to him.
At the request of the family, no public calling hours or services will be held at this time; a celebration of Lane’s life is being planned and will be announced later. The family has invited those who wish to share memories or condolences to do so through Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations be made in care of the funeral home. Lane’s life touched many — in the fields where he worked, on the trails where he rode, and in the quiet, loyal ways he cared for his family.
