Obituary
A formal remembrance
Keith Patterson, known to family and friends by the affectionate nickname “Puppy,” was born September 10, 1977, in Baltimore, Maryland. He built a life centered on his family and community, and those who knew him recall a man who made time for the people he loved. In 1997 he met Chenise Jackson; the couple later married on April 16, 2010, and raised their children together. Family was Keith’s first priority: he took pleasure in simple, everyday moments with his children and grandchildren and worked to provide for them.
Keith had a creative side and small joys that defined his days. He enjoyed drawing — especially family portraits — and loved animals, taking pleasure in caring for pets. He boxed in his younger years and kept that competitive spirit in the way he tackled life. Many who knew him remember him spending time on Collington, watching football on Sundays, socializing with relatives, and enjoying relaxed gatherings where good conversation and laughter were central.
An entrepreneur by nature, Keith set out on his own early and supported himself and his family through his work. He is survived by his wife, Chenise Patterson; his mother, Elaine Patterson; his children and grandchildren; siblings and an extended circle of relatives, godchildren and friends who treasured his company. He was preceded in death by his father Lamont G. Chamberlain and other relatives.
Keith’s life mattered deeply to those who loved him. Though his passing on December 31, 2016, was a profound loss, memories of his warmth, his sketches, his care for animals, and the laughter he shared with family endure. Those who cherish his memory remember a devoted family man whose everyday acts of care and affection left a lasting impression.
