Remembering Keandre

A life held close in memory

KeAndre Jamel Bowser was born March 16, 2000, in Oklahoma City. From a young age he showed a strong work ethic and an independent spirit, launching a small lawn-mowing service that reflected both his determination and his desire to help provide for himself and his family. KeAndre loved basketball and spent many afternoons shooting hoops with friends; he also enjoyed video games and the easy laughter of time spent with family.

Family and friends remember KeAndre for his ready smile and steady presence. Though only 16 at the time of his passing, he carried responsibilities with maturity and brought energy to the everyday: whether working a job he took pride in or sharing a quiet moment with those close to him. He was a son and a friend whose life mattered deeply to the people who knew him.

KeAndre’s life was cut far too short on June 24, 2016. The outpouring of grief that followed reflected the many ways he had touched others’ lives—through small acts of service, shared hobbies, and the warmth of his company. Services were arranged by the family and the funeral home as a time for the community to honor his memory and to support one another.

Those who wish to remember KeAndre are invited to hold close the memories of his determination, his easy laugh, and the bright smile he offered so freely. His life—though brief—left a lasting impression on family, friends, and neighbors who recall him most of all as a hardworking, kind young man with a generous spirit.
