Remembering Kaylee

A life held close in memory

Kaylee Kristina Ellís Schipper, born April 6, 1993 in Panama City, Florida, brought light and care to those around her through her devotion to family and steady presence in her hometown community. For several years she was a familiar, hardworking face at Fannin’s Family Restaurant, where friends and customers came to know her kindness and dedication.

Most of all, Kaylee loved being a mother. She is remembered as a loving parent to her children: Jayden and her three daughters, Carrie, Delilah, and Marleigh. Her family was central to her life, and the memories she leaves — in laughter, everyday routines, and tender moments — remain a comfort to those who loved her.

Kaylee was the daughter of George Schipper and Natalie Sheets and is also survived by her mother, Nana Wanda Edwards, siblings, and an extended circle of relatives who treasured her. She was preceded in death by her father, George “Skip” Ellis Schipper II, and her grandparents Betty Joe and George Ellis Schipper Sr.

A funeral service to celebrate Kaylee’s life was held at Cluster Springs Baptist Church on June 22, 2021, where family and friends gathered to honor her memory and support one another. Those who knew her recall her caring nature and the small, meaningful ways she showed love to her children and family.

Kaylee’s bright presence and the everyday kindnesses she offered will be remembered by her family and the DeFuniak Springs community. Memories and condolences were invited by the family through Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, where arrangements were entrusted.

Her life, though cut far too short, mattered deeply to those who shared it with her. May her children and loved ones find comfort in the many loving memories she made with them.
